A chance encounter at the Liverpool Beer Expo brought Gemma and Keith from our Bents shop together with , co-owner of Tartarus Brewing. They got chatting about women in beer—how there’s still progress to be made, but things are moving in the right direction. Gemma shared the story of Kate, our very own female boss, and how Reserve came to be.

Producer Info

Tartarus Beers was founded in 2020 by Jack Roberts and Orpen. They brew small batch craft beer, with a mythical edge. Based in Sheepscar just outside of Leeds City Centre. The brewery is named after the Greek underworld, and they have quickly established themselves as an innovative brewery in the Leeds craft beer scene, known for its unique and flavorful creations inspired by mythology and legends.
