Whispering Angel 2023

Get to know: Whispering Angel Rosé

Tasting Note

As world's most popular Provence rosé, this barely needs any introduction. This wine helped reinvigorate the interest in rosé wine and specifically the light dry and elegant Provence style. If you want a wine to be seen with, this is the one. The 2022 vintage has a youthful intensity on the nose, with well-defined signature red fruit notes of strawberry and ripe raspberry standing out alongside fleshy and bright honeydew melon. On the palate are vibrant notes of pink fruit and the freshness of melon contrasted with a creamy, textured and fuller body than previous vintages. On the mid-palate is a hint of pink grapefruit that brings a mouth-watering acidity for a long and lasting finish.

Try this with a goats cheese salad, freshly cooked langoustines or simply enjoy in the sunshine.

Producer Info

Whispering Angel 2022 is made from a blend of carefully selected grapes sourced from some of the best vineyards in the vicinity of the Esclans Valley and nearby in the Côtes de Provence region.

The 2022 vintage blends grenache, cinsault and vermentino grapes, which have been harvested at night to avoid the heat of the day and keep the crop fresh, to great effect.

Free-run juices and press juices are fermented and aged in stainless steel with temperature control to preserve the wine's fruitiness.

Bâtonnage – the process of stirring up the lees – then adds a full body to the end result.
